Noida, India, August 2, 2019 – Bureau Veritas Consumer Product Services India (Bureau Veritas CPS India) has announced that it has received a “Kaizen Award” from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the 6th Edition of 3M Competition held in New Delhi, India in July 2019.

Competing against 35 organizations across India covering 45 business improvement projects, Bureau Veritas CPS India was awarded a Kaizen Award for its achievement in reduction under the "MURA" category. Participating companies include OEMs in Paints, Automotive, Electronics, Tires, Power, and Petroleum industries as well as service providers from Health Care and Testing sectors.
Bureau Veritas’ competing project addressed on-time delivery & productivity improvement for softlines testing services at their Noida location. The scoring parameters included Process Theme; Clarity of Problem Definition; Root Cause Finding; Logical Reasoning; Kaizen Selection; Sustenance Plan; Horizontal Deployment & Clarity of Presentation.
Paromita Roy, Vice President, Western Asia region of Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services commented, “All our labs in India are ingrained with a continuous improvement culture. Our “MDI-Managing Daily Improvements”, a production floor meeting addressing improvements in the operation, is conducted with key employees on a daily basis. Additionally, across our labs and offices, internal Kaizen competitions for the employees are conducted on a regular basis with recognitions to those who contributed to operational improvements.”
